There's no way that duck is not Scottish.
South Africa actually has some rather strong ties with the Scottish regiments that were present in their country in the past. As such several South African military regiments actually wore kilts for quite some time.

So yeah, he looks Scottish, but that's because they were purposely copying the Scots (and actually goes to a deeper level when you think about it, because they were indeed historical nemesis for a while, and now the two ducks are nemesis).

It would be brutally difficult and probably won't work. In other words, it's absolutely dwarven!

3 billion GB/s? Is that even possible?

Happy: finally figured out the damn idle sequence for this truck. Now I can relax in air-conditioned comfort without stomping on the gas pedal every four minutes or so :D

No it's not possible :p The theoretical max (in the sense of physical limits of the universe) for a single fiber optic channel is roughly 1 petabyte per second and realistically you're never going to get anywhere remotely close to that with current technology.

That number, as giglameshdespair kindly calculated, is 3430.9 PB/sec.

It's just a steam display glitch that happens rarely.

Just got back from a two day junior science for humanity symposium
A single 45 minute session there has solidified me wanting to go into nuclear engineering over aerospace.
Also one thing that ticked me off was that a person who's expermiment was riddled with flaws and absolutly use less and not at all original or their own work with 20 year old data about depression in children won first place in category and second out of 6 first place category winners.
The debate was amazing to watch though

Power from music, a nice background track helps in the haste of thoughts. Projects are going well, though no proof remains online due to their unfinished states.
Hooray mapmaking and digital art!
Love the many instruments being used in that link, anyway.
Also, Sky Whales.

... You couldn't tell? "McDuck"?

He's likely not called that in Belgian/French(edit: Not that it matters as after looking I turns out Tack is from neither of those. I'm not sure why I thought he was either). Over here he's called "Joakim von Anka".

That duck is definitely Scottish.

They might be living in South Africa, but they're Scottish.

He looks more like a Scots fanboy and/or somebody who's desperately trying to remain in touch with his Scottish ancestry, and, you know, failing hard.

There was a Don Rosa comic about that in 'His Life, His Billions', in which he decides to move away from his ancestral castle (of course there's an ancestral castle) and to the US because he failed at a Highland sports contest. I highly recommend the whole series.

Arguably he's already a progressive, just one in the style of an enlightened Kaiser.
I'm going to do the smart thing here and disengage. This isn't a hill I paticularly care to die on.

Finally finished an LP. Goddamn that took a long time. Imgur constantly borking up the last upload's didn't help.

What should I do for my next project? An LP of Stronghold(not the "Can't place that there, mi'lord" one)? A community LP of Artificial Academy? No wait, Toady might have a problem with that last one, even if I cut out all the dirty stuff.

It's known as the Oppai-Kaiju effect. The islands of Japan generate a sort anti-gravity field, which allows breasts to behave as if in microgravity. It's also what allows Godzilla and friends to become 50 stories tall, and lets ninjas run up the side of a skyscraper.

Should call him D'Artagnon.
(Dunno if that's how it's spelt.)
