I bought the 3DS Phoenix Wright trilogy off of eShop yesterday. This caused me to not use Bay12 all day because I was playing it.

I'm going to do the smart thing here and disengage. This isn't a hill I paticularly care to die on.

I'm... I'm going to hope you're imitating a verbal tic from Trials and Tribulations, the one game I haven't touched yet. o_o

Objection! He said "summer" child--my birthday is in October! Therefore, it is impossible for me to be the child he is referring to!

He meant the summer of his life. It was a drizzly tuesday.

At a guess, half a minute hero? Perhaps a redux edition, the sprites are a little better then the ones I saw.

I'm pretty sure German is closer to english than Spanish is so it can't be too hard
And isn't Dutch also German based? Or am I just way off?
Dutch and German are quite similar in many ways, but German has the nominative, genitive, dative and accusative cases, while (modern) Dutch doesn't have any. It was a test all about what case goes with what preposition or fixed expression.

The annoying thing is that they're all just a teeny tiny bit different than Dutch.

Dutch is actually in some ways more similar to English than German. Non-gendered words, for instance.
Dutch actually does have gendered words. They use "de" as an article for feminine/masculine, and "het" for genderless words, which also changes the pronouns used for them.

There are actually a whole bunch of rules to determine wether a Dutch word is masculine or feminine, but in my experience no one bothers to use them. E. G., all abstract words, such as love and hate, are feminine, and a whole bunch of suffixes, such as -heid, -nis, -schap, -ij and -tie indicate a word being feminine too.
