I was wondering if this work day would ever end.  Then some stuff happened and I had to take care of it.  Then I looked at the clock and its almost time to go home.  :D

Helgo is now some sort of walking giant, at least 2+ meters, and he finally found his giantess
Pretty much this, actually :P
That was 3+ kilometers each way, by the way. She's awesome~
He does have a soul! :P

Now, that I learned how to play Morrowind theme on at least one musical instrument (harmonica), I consider my musical education fitting my current demands.

In other happy news, we now have our widecreen TV in living room connected to computer, complete with wireless keyboard with trackpad, comfy chairs and stable internet.

Pedantic question: is there actually any difference between the Morrowind/Oblivion/Skyrim themes except in instrumentation and precise arrangement, which would both go out the window if played as a simple theme on a single instrument?

Definitely a noticeable difference with the Skyrim theme, but the Oblivion theme, to me, just seems to be a faster and more...Aah, what's the word? Aggressive, than the Morrowind one. Lovely tune, all of them, but Morrowind made me feel like I was about to go save a world or something.

And by save the world I mean dick around for a while and then eventually save the world.

The oblivion theme sounded a bit like the pirates of the Caribbean theme to me

And skyrim theme is a whole lot different
Though I don't know about morrowind

Also: someone made a cross of the skyrim and pirates theme where they both play alongside each other, it's a match made in music heaven

I remember my mom coming into the living room several times because she though my brothers and I were watching Pirates, and then she was all disappointed.

Yeah, there's a tempo difference between Morrowind and Oblivion, and Skyrim is distinct from both. The instrumentation is a pretty damned big deal. There's a massive difference between III and IV in terms of the mood; Morrowind is calm and flowing, the slow, gentle strings supported by the underlying rhythm of the drums and just a touch of brass at the appropriate moment, while Oblivion is faster-paced, bombastic, and regal, with much sharper shifts in loudness. Likewise, Skyrim (obviously) has the major difference in the vocals, but those aside it's a much more rhythmic variation on the theme, with the heavy drums and sharp, fast, but not boisterous strings and brass.

And honestly I like the Skyrim version the most, though Morrowind is still good and has the added benefit of nostalgia. Oblivion is too close to stereotypical orchestral sound to evoke much.

My favourite was always the Morrowind theme.

This. In highschool my friends and I would hum the Oblivion theme and get confused with the Pirates theme. Was fun, though.

Finally got Dyad playing again, at the cost of my latest Nvidia driver. Experimenting a bit more until I find the latest version that works, for the sake of others also complaining.

Nice to do the other fans a service as well. Bet they're pretty happy to hear of a solution, after complaining for at least a year (myself included, amongst the noise). Pretty annoying solution, but a solution nonetheless.

At least now we can redirect our cries of annoyance towards the graphics driver devs, instead of the game devs now. Put the weight where it rightfully belongs.

EDIT:
If anyone had problems playing the game, the Nvidia driver to downgrade to is 337.88. Anywhere past that is when things went bad for everyone.
