Also, I cannot into Fahrenheit.
Room temperature in Fahrenheit is ~75, so that's a bit cold.

Then 80-90 should be just fine to get it going. The colder it is, the worse it goes.

FACT MODE ACTIVATE
An ion is a charged particle, which occurs when an atom/molecule (more commonly a molecule) has more (negative/anion) or fewer (positive/cation) electrons than protons.
An isotope is a variant on an element, differentiated by the number of neutrons in the nucleus. This makes no difference on charge but does affect mass and nuclear processes.

I don't believe tin (ii) is either, I think roman numerals mean oxidation state (though my memory is fuzzy on that).

There is an ion of tin (II), it can be found in aqueous solution of any water solution of salt of tin in oxidation state (II).

Cations are negative, I believe. The numerals refer to metals with multiple oxidation states. They are usually capitalized.

I thought Roman numerals were ions of metal

Also Comrade P. It's 10 degrees Celsius here
(Converted for your ease)
The guide gave a 4 hour estimated time of completion at a bit above room temp
I've had this stuff soaking in a temperature fluctuating between (IIRC) 0~10 degrees Celsius for almost 24 hours now

That sounds rather non-conducive to reactions at any decent speed.

Indeed, particularly when you remember that reactions have activation energies.

I'm at home
And using glass and plastic things
I do not own a Bunsen burner
Nor do I want to put a flame up to acid

Well, you're not going to get much unless you have some way of meeting your activation energy :P.

Cations are negative, I believe. The numerals refer to metals with multiple oxidation states. They are usually capitalized.
Cations have a positive charge (i.e. they have lost electrons). The way I always remember it is that cats give you warm positive feelings, so cations have a positive charge.

Aaaah, you're doing it in the street. Now I can dig it.

Get a hair dryer and extension cord and heat the reaction mixture with it.

I'm doing it in a ventilated tent in the middle of nowhere but same difference I guess  :P

That might work....
