Much like Spore many technical breakthroughs were dumbed down for the final release in Oblivion. I remember reading an article on Oblivions AI which said they needed to restrict the AI because they ended up with situations where they had a drug dealer NPC who was needed for a quest dead before you got to him, research revealing that a crackhead NPC killed him because they could not pay for the drugs. Granted they later added the system where important NPC's are simply knocked unconscious so they didn't need to dumb down the AI for that. but ultimately there is a lot of management dumbing down the features to make a 'polished' game.

Remember the old Spore articles on the Debug Squid? Remember the old cell phase and how you could construct a little cell? Goddamit middle management.

I remember one story where they prioritized two different NPC's to rake and sweep respectively, then they gave the raker the broom and the sweeper the rake. They then proceeded to fight to the death in order to get their respective implements instead of trading.

Is there nothing super glue and duck tape can't solve?

Forget the super glue. Duct tape solves everything.

Unknown to most but the insane and the mystics, Tarran is actually Earth itself, as Earth is sentient like that planet in Avatar. Originally Earth used names such as Terra on the internet, but to protect it's identity it changed letters, now becoming the Tarran you know today.

Tarran has the "Tarran Bug", a bug which causes the affected character to repeatedly hit teammates while dual-wielding instead of whatever the hell he is shooting at.

I just ordered the first major upgrade for my PC since, oh, 2004.

I'm getting an Intel Core i5 and mobo for like, $250, thanks to a friend in the industry who was able to get me a sweet deal, and save me like 1/3rd the cost of the parts. So happy, I could ssqqqqquuueeeeeee, as I have a backlog of games I've played at minimum spec because my PC was so crappy. Can't wait to go back and play Prototype, Assassin's Creed II and a whole bunch of other games at glorious max detail and smooth FPS.

SQQUUEEEEEEEEE!!!!
