I read the Happy thread, but only intermittently. I idly checked on it today and saw that the 15000th post was near, and attempted to get it. I did not realize that people were not supposed to grandstand and try to grab the 15000th post, nor, in fact, that there was any controversy over the matter at all. I was simply trying to get it as a joke. I see now that it had unfortunate consequences. I am formally apologizing for taking the 15000th post in the manner I did and am perfectly happy to edit the post or even ask a moderator to delete it. The Happy Thread is an institution and many people enjoy it; if you see fit, you are free to forbid me from ever posting in the happy/sad thread again, and I will follow that rule. However, I ask that you please not lock it for everyone because of one person's poor actions. Thank you for your consideration.
