Got a kick-ass new video card.  It killed my computer for a few days when I put it in.  But those issues are finally resolved now.  Yay stable and significantly upgraded computer!

What's a good graphically intensive game to pit this thing against?  Don't say Skyrim.

Crysis 3 is a good benchmark.

I finally beat the first boss in Dark Souls, the Minotaur guy. I get to him with full health and estus, I'm on my A game, I'm dodging every attack, I get him down to half health...

and he derps out and walks off a cliff, killing himself instantly... I'll take it, VICTORY ACHIEVED.

Run back to the tower, look for the ladder, climb up and mind the hollows you DIDN'T pre-emptively kill before triggering the boss battle, wait for the boss to be just bellow the tower and then perform a plunging attack, derp around his feet, hoping to confuse him enough for you to reach the ladder again and repeat the whole thing till he keels over.

But that's the less hilarious way.

This is actually true. I forgot about the stuttering and lock-on shenanigans. You should really search for this fixes especially if

targeting still leaves me with a few headaches

Did plenty of walking today, bought a couple of cheap jackets- including a denim one that I plan on chopping the sleeves off of.
Also found a blog (yeah, one of those things) dedicated to a few genres of music I'm partial to. Discovered some good music already.

I promise not to make this my Dark Souls blog, but things are going well. I'm up to the Belltower guys, not sure how to tackle them besides just being a badass about it. Everything about the game is really tense, I like it. I haven't felt like this since my Nethack'ing days.

White Soap Stone is an outrageously cool item, just cause I like offering my feeble and nubbish help to strangers. I've already embarrassed myself several times, but it's fun, and there's no drawback to dying besides revealing myself as the scrub that I am.
