I hate Christmas so much I tried to convince my family to cancel it and celebrate American Thanksgiving instead.  American Thanksgiving has just as much awesome food with none of the stupid songs, pointless commercialized gift-giving and gaudy decorations.

Sadly they declined.    I'll try again next year though!

That time when I get hot wheels cars from my 8 year old cousins! (Only gifts I got for two years) and when I get sick! (Had a flu on Christmas Day for eight years in a row)

Found out my Cousin (Not the dead one or the underage one who got someone pregnant), recently returned from the Navy, is going to get married over winter break. We didn't get an invite to the wedding, but knowing my cousin, he probably set the whole thing up with minimal planning and just assumed family and friends would show up.

I discovered the joy of Teamviewer on android, and after playing around a bit, I stayed to think what if I needed my computer while it was off. Found Wake on LAN. Oh boy.

Set it up, tested it - nothing happens. [dumb]Of course, it's wired only.[/dumb] I grab the old trusty ethernet cable and connect to my router.

7 hours later, after cursing at the BIOS creator for not including WOL in the options and assuming it's on by default, finding out no ports are forwarded, cursing at my ISP for changing the router password, unsuccessfully scanning for ports, trying to open ports using third party programs, making a blood sacrifice, messing with static IPs, losing Internet connection a few times, accidentally breaking a router, endless googling, trying to use hamachi as LAN, I press the button on my phone for the nth time.

[External IP]     [Internal IP]    WOL    Magic packet received

I shut my computer down and press the button again.

It switches on and I'm able to use teamviewer.

Onto the next great idea!

You were having trouble using Hamachi as a LAN?  How so?

Just got my first acceptance letter today.  Not towards one of my top three colleges, but still a pretty good school.  Nice to know that if something happens to keep me from getting into the other ones that I will have a place to go.

Yes, seizure frog.  Yes it is.

Indeed Brewing company, a microbrewery out of Minneapolis, Minnesota.  So unless you're nearby (with ~70 miles), you're out of luck.

Dad's divorce has finally gone through. Apparently you get a certificate and everything.
It's been like a year going so I'm pretty glad for him (also me) that's it's finally done with.
