Just finished pounding out literally all of the legwork, research, and writing for a fairly substantial term paper in less than twelve hours, including digging up some rather hard to find primary sources. Mission accomplished.

No, no. It's not that bad. Just...When summer ends and fall starts we do a bit of leaves and then PREPARE FOR THE APOCALYPSE

If I recall correctly 75% of Canadians live within 100 miles of the border, so there's actually not a huge difference between most Canadians and people in Michigan or Minnesoota or any other northern state. The idea that Canada is mostly a frozen wasteland is kind of true, but no one lives in those parts.

Just like how a huge part of the US is dust, mountains, and farms, but since no one lives there we don't usually have that as the image of "typical" America.

So being stressed and project overloaded will result in silliness.
I woke up at 3am, with the lights still on. Mind clicked to return to my laptop in the other room. Due to me sleeping on my side, my right leg was all 'tingly'--I knew this would end in numbness but decided to use that leg to stand up.
So far so good. One leg down, and I can still feel the floor. Now time to stand up.
Other leg on solid ground, then I push myself up. Perfect stance.
Then I move towards the room...with my right leg.

Cue near slow-motion collapse into a kneel and the cheek of my face to land on the side of the post of my couch-bed. Ahaaaa~ x_x
T'was a very silly moment for me. Also banged up my knee on the carpet.

Though I do love those moments when there is momentary numbness and the appendage feels...floppy. Though its not 'fun' I recommend anyone try out intentionally. x3

And now I go to rest, to enjoy this night, and to watch Family Guy.

Also, Tiruin, stop attacking yourself!

For everything else, there's Harkness.
I think Harkness falls under 'Omnisexual'
Can I just say that I absolutely love Captain Jack Harkness? If you want to make a queer character right, you make them like Jack Harkness. Openly queer without becoming a stereotype, and it isn't his one defining character trait. He talks about homosexual relationships the same way he talks about heterosexual relationships, and nobody he hangs out with really finds it surprising or disgusting. Until he goes into the inter-species relationships, of course, but that's a whole other can of worms.

He was in town this weekend and I couldn't see him. Probably belongs in the sad thread but the subject is being discussed here...
John Barrowman? What was he doing? A play or something?
There was a convention in town. PopExpo.

I finally took to learning Java, and I actually made a nice, uniformed, D&D ability roller. Not bad for my first day I'd say  ;D

You can't use "Java" and "nice" in the same sentence!

Creeper Reverse Polish Language.

OK, no, not that, it's a scripting language so it only works in the context of a single game.

But find a language similar to that and learn it.

Was exhausted yesterday and was busy working on huge project paper with my team partner late at night in the engineering department. I've got this other big assignment that was also due at midnight that night, so I'm starting to say "sorry I can't help you finish" when he tells me to just see if I can do it there quickly and then help get the last bit of our big project. So I check the course website, turns out the second big assignment was totally optional and isn't graded at all. :)

Then we get messages on both our computers that they are shutting down in just a bit. We can't stop that, so we quickly save and restart, when the message comes through that we can't access the I drive (which is where all our project files were). This seems like a bad thing, until we quickly realize that this means we get a whole extra day to finish the project. :) We snapshot the error message as proof, send an email to the professor and go to head home.

On my windshield I see a ticket. Why the heck someone was checking the parking lots at 10:30 at night I have no idea >:( (they normally stop around 5:00) but there's not much I can do about it so I pull it off the windshield to look. "Amount owed: $0.00", it was just a warning ticket! :)

Luckiest hour I've had in a long time, though sadly I forgot to buy any lottery tickets while I was still on a roll. :P
