That last guy actually lived in the US for a long while after some doctor got lucky and saved him after he got a punctured stomach back in the mid-1800s. Subsequently, he hired the guy to test out how stomachs work (which he wrote a book on) until the guy left for the Canadian wilderness. He was this real manly-man kinda guy, see.
