Just found out Quake Live will be coming to steam in roughly 4 hours. Which is about the same time I'll be spending at work. Hopefully this means more players, since the servers in my region were a bit stale.

I may be purchasing some lamb hearts - if this farm's website is to be believed, they're cheaper by weight than cow hearts, and by a margin that brings the price down to only slightly more than industrially-farmed meat.

In the days when Sussman was a novice, Minsky once came to him as he sat hacking at the PDP-6.
“What are you doing?”, asked Minsky. “I am training a randomly wired neural net to play Tic-Tac-Toe” Sussman replied. “Why is the net wired randomly?”, asked Minsky. “I do not want it to have any preconceptions of how to play”, Sussman said.
Minsky then shut his eyes. “Why do you close your eyes?”, Sussman asked his teacher.
“So that the room will be empty.”
At that moment, Sussman was enlightened.

I know that I said before that these dumb TF2 videos don't make me happy, per se, and I already posted it in the laughter thread, but it's making me laugh so hard that I feel compelled to post it here for the good of our people.

Also, I'm gonna have to make a GIF of that first one.

Why, dare I ask? That's a very odd thing to go looking for.

What you need to do is find a butcher and go and try and buy stuff personally. You can get weird stuff for dead cheap. The one near me once offered to import some horse meat specifically for me when I asked if he had any.

Hearts are delicious, is why.

I only ever had chicken hearts, but I doubt other hearts aren't at least just as good.

I'd like to try horse meat.

Well, you know, when I KNOW it's horse meat.
It's... alright. Better than pork but so is any other dead animal so that's not saying much.
Kind of a beef-like texture but tastes different.

Being sigged is a good feeling. Unless you were just tossed into a sigtext, never to be read again.
