And then my GBA broke :I
Emulaaaaaatioooooon
Is borderline illegal in some countries.
Pretty sure I read somewhere, amusingly, that it is legal to download and use ROM images for emulation in Canada, but not to upload them. And that is is legal to upload them in the US, but not to download them.
I also found a website that does Emulation-In-Browser, and the only working copy of Dark Wizard I found that isn't hard copy (Why, why, why do parents sell the things we love?).
Speaking of which!
Today I was taking my break at work, someone at the table I was sitting at noticed my DS and asked if I play a lot of games. I could have been sarcastic and said "No, that's my blood monitor", but I said "Yeah, I love them. Have you ever heard of one called Dark Wizard?" So we were talking games, and his boyfriend(?) came and joined us, and he asked the newcomer about if he's heard of Dark Wizard, he said no, I said it was my favorite and Dwarf Fortress came second (Sorry, true, can't lie), and it turns out the second guy plays DF
! But he says he doesn't read the forums
. So, so close to finding a fellow forumite IRL, but so far.
But found a DF fellow player IRL!
The Sims 4 is good! Performance is smooth, and the game is quirky and neat. Everything feels kind of new, which is the way it's supposed to feel, of course. There's not too much in the game that's old hat. That said, I miss all of the expansions of 3 (and 2, and 1), but there's a dozen expansions on the way, I'm sure.
Is it most like 1, 2, or 3, out of those three? I don't think I like 3 at all, from my experience with it. I miss playing 1, and 2 got skipped by funding.
