Finished a couple of Lovecraft stories, and they were cool as hell.

Shadow over Innsmouth and Herbert West: Re-animator.

I recently read his essay on why cats are better than dogs. At one point he listed "Negroes" and "human beings" separately. Apparently our dearly loved author was an unapologetic racist.

He's wrong when it comes to cats and dogs.

The truth is that each have their advantages and disadvantages.

He's wrong when it comes to cats and dogs.

The truth is that dogs have far more utility and value as social interaction, while cats have the niche market of eating your food and shitting in your house while casually hating everything.

Meh, I prefer dogs.

Others prefer cats.

Don't see why my opinion should be exalted over someone else's.

I think we can all agree that they're both delicious.

In the days when Sussman was a novice, Minsky once came to him as he sat hacking at the PDP-6.
“What are you doing?”, asked Minsky. “I am training a randomly wired neural net to play Tic-Tac-Toe” Sussman replied. “Why is the net wired randomly?”, asked Minsky. “I do not want it to have any preconceptions of how to play”, Sussman said.
Minsky then shut his eyes. “Why do you close your eyes?”, Sussman asked his teacher.
“So that the room will be empty.”
At that moment, Sussman was enlightened.

I would have loved both animals equally if not for the fact I have a horrible luck with getting dogs.
And by that I mean good dogs.

Actually, from what I understand neither taste particularly good. Particularly ones that aren't specifically raised to be eaten. Is reason folks try not to eat wild dog, and why roof rabbit is a desperation food.

That said, Lovecraft was an unapologetic racist, from what I recall. Think there was some oddities involved, but... mostly, at the very least, yeah.

Well he was from the 1900's.  I don't think they cared nearly as much about being politically correct back then.

Just burned some MST3K's my father dug out of his hard drive and put them onto a CD.

Titles include "The Crawling Eye", "The Crawling Hand", and "The Robot vs. the Aztec Mummy".

Fun times await.

The Robot Vs. The Aztec Mummy is a great movie, if it's the black and white one I'm thinking of. Very classic B-movie :D
