But seasoning can be wildly off depending on the vendor. :v

I thought it was near perfect. References to the original. Good action. Really intense when you actually see him without the suit (some body horror shit right there). I also really liked the villains because.. They were likeable! My favorite was the dude who wore the exoskeleton, even though he didn't really do much. I also liked the social commentary that went on. Not in your face, a bit satirical near the end where Sam Jackson still won't shut up and I love it. It was nice to see a bad guy that was a bit more subtle. Not as cool as the original Robocop villains who were such scumbags that it was really satisfying to watch them get blown away, but it's nice to see characters that aren't always in extremes. And all in all the plot was fairly compelling. Also the guy who actually played him gave a stellar performance, he even kind of looks like the original Robocop.

I'd say it was a very solid movie. Only gripes are that they gave him a special motorcycle, which I thought was unnecessary. Some of the parts where you see his HUD stating really obvious things made me go "really?" And I thought the obligatory "oh no he's breaking out, how did we not foresee the conscious robot with superstrength breaking out" moment was very cliché (he even choked a guy. that always happens), but quite well justified since the doctor guy wanted him to stop on his own.

Today I ate grilled chicken on a stick and a stick of oden at a street vendor. The seller was an old woman, slightly on the absentminded/rambling side, but not unkind. The oden was just past its prime (a bit too long in the pot) but ok, and the broth was actually pretty good, not too strong or weak. The chicken was terrible--the dry, thin bits of meat betrayed how slow it was to sell today, and I'm sad to say that it had potential in that it was seasoned well. The price was 1500 won (~1.5$) .
