Dobaahkin? Not sure I get it.

Dovahkin, or however you spell it, is the player character's title or whatever in Skyrim.

It means Dragonborn.

They probably see it as "Well, we'd be paying for it anyway (i.e. paying truck drivers who then pay for it) and we don't want to not have any truck drivers (seeing as how if a single tire change costs you hundreds of dollars, then being a truck driver would actually COST you money, so why would anyone do it?) or else we'd have to pay them enough to offset the costs of repairs (see 1: they'd be paying for it anyway)"

This way, they don't *really* lose any money on it, and they end up looking like good guys by taking care of the truck.

There's no question of how. They have the blood of a Dragon, as a gift from Akatosh.

Watching Carnivale, and I catch a reference playing on a radio during a scene that is this bad ass. Grandpa gave us all replica vintage radios as kids, with cassette players in them, and a ton of old radio dramas on tape. Used to love The Shadow as a kid. I probably had the tape that was playing during the show. And a lot of other super pulpy dramas that I can't remember now. (Although holy shit dat is some racist cover art for the magazines.)
