There...are a lot of games like that? Also, I do my best to stay away from hentai (porn in general nowadays, at that,) most of the time.

There's two problems with this.

Sengoku rance actually has pretty good gameplay, the amount of hentai games with real genuine gameplay is super low. And second? The game is impossible to avoid, there was even an aborted LP of it on this very forum.

Huh, personally I'm also surprised people never heard of it. It almost seemed like most people I talked with had a friend that knew about it and mentioned it, or they'd ran into it themselves.

... yeah, there was the whole LP thing over in OG/PWYB, as noted. It... the hentai in it is kinda' subpar, but the game itself was pretty good. I would totally play more games like that. Alt-history/fantasy Romance of the Three Kingdom-style games are disturbingly enthralling in concept.

Sangoku Rance...   I...think I have a mp3 from that game.  Never played it, it was one of those random mp3s my friends find and decide to give to everyone they know.

Yes. EXTREMELY Sub-par Hentai, added to good gameplay.
It's like real actresses failing at porn.

But I hadn't heard of it myself until then.

I prefer complete fiction empire civs. Too many are real-world. Mount & blade was good.
