He's in beta, and since all the teasers for the upcoming patch have been revealed (music, voice acting etc.), I'd say he's going to be out shortly. (although there's supposed to be one more beta patch from what I know)

I feel like parts of this are faked, but I'm not sure.

Remember, stuff like Pepsi can be an impulse buy; an eye-catching logo would make Pepsi more noticeable. A better logo could significantly increase sales, which is why they're (possibly) doing all this stuff.

I get why they would constantly invest effort into revising their various media presences, such as their logo. That's a perfectly reasonable thing to do. The goal they have is not the cause of my confusion.
