FLCL was one of the first animos I watched, but I don't think I would recommend it to someone who wants to ease themselves into animes. It's a bit of a trip.

That said, my most recommended anime experience: Be like 12, don't sleep for like three days. Then watch Paranoia Agent, FLCL, and Apocalypse Now back to back. Give it a few months to merge together in your head. Have all the wtf memories.

I'm pretty sure DBZ is only good 'cause nostalgia.
I loved it when I was a kid, when it was the cool thing to talk about amongst my first/second-grade classmates, but looking at it now... Hrrm.

I watched it a year or so ago. It's not nearly as good as the other animes I watch nowadays, but it's still not terrible. Well. Not terrible enough for me to not watch the finish of Freeza. After that I was sorta like "Yeah. I'm done."

Y'all should check the huge differences between anime now and back then.

Mostly its the drawing style things are made. The values and morals are more the same, reflecting the ideas of the time. :P

Brotherhood has a problem where they introduce a character from the manga near the end that they should have introduced really early on, but they act like the manga introduction already happened and it's weird.
