No, that is a conspiracy we invented to keep average guys out of our sexy-man paradise. Heck we even conscripted a group of geeks to sit in rooms and pretend they are engineers as a cover story. We call them the Incredibly Clever Trick, or ICT engineering for short.

Yea, I'm a programmer, and you have to do engineering for that. Kind of sucks, because all that time and effort put into physics is totally useless for me... Also most of the maths was never applicable... And I never needed that bit about the electrical engineering... You know ICT is full of a lot of irrelevant stuff?

So. On top of my own 3D and a pink one for milady, I now have siezed two copies of Animal Crossing New Leaf and Pokemon x/y for the both of us from the cold grip of the internet.

Best of all? I ordered the parts, on a Saturday, and they were ready for me to collect within an hour.

The answer lies within the question. Probably a side order of aesthetics to go along with it, though the latter tends to be more inclusive than the former. There's not many other reasons people like to see pretty people, iirc.

And... eye candy is nice, even if you don't intend to indulge. Real trick is keeping the appreciation for the form separate from the appreciation of the person, so you're not quite as likely to go down the path of objectification and whatnot. That and appreciating either without making people uncomfortable...
