Watching Scooby Doo 2: Monsters Unleashed.
Something about the second one seemed... lacking to me. It lacked being memorable. Or the kind of self-deprecating-bad funny.

How can you not like Bug Butts being played by an exploding gramophone?

Eh, there just wasn't anything from the film that stuck with me. Meanwhile, "Mary Jane is a man in a mask." is a sentence that will stick with me forever. Foreveerrrr.

Along with a few other miscellaneous sentences that will also stick with me forever, for reasons I don't completely understand.

OMIGOSH THE LEGO MOVIE WAS GREAT!!!

It was surprisingly deep, and probably one of the funnest things I've seen in quite a while. Not to mention all the nostalgia moments from old set cameos

Movie Bob has given it high praise, so it sounds pretty good... Not sure if it is even out here yet though.

Yeah, he's a banned spammer. Normally we'd delete this thread too, but people were having too much fun with it by the time we got here.

Does it have the same sort of ability to create stuff?

No cell or creature stage, either. I liked cell stage because it fit the simplicity of being cells well, and was still fun. Creature stage could have been a lot better if it didn't come down to dance at everyone or murder at everyone.

Cell stage was the most fun imho.

No cell or creature but that might help them in the long-run. Keep the focus on a civilization-simulation rather than split your resources between trying to make a fun third-person fighting game and a civilization-simulator.

Which I think was one of the main issues with Spore. They divided their attention too much so each stage was pretty shallow. That and dumbing it down into a "kiddy-game".

It's also more "sim" than "RTS", since you don't control your cities units or tribal-doods.

I'm also not entirely sure how far along they are... Pre-alpha, maybe alpha?

I hope they manage to include editors to make your own creatures, buildings, etc. Spore's gameplay was pretty lacking, but the editors were tons of fun to mess with - though admittedly far more cartoony than originally envisioned.
