Just on a whim, I searched for Car Wars modules for VASSAL.  They exist, and because the original Car Wars went out of print like 18 years ago, Steve Jackson has more or less endorsed redistribution of outdated products.

I might make a thread about it later.  Who doesn't love a chance to get their Road Warrior on?

Got caught in a trope-spiral but ended it with some awesome clips from the show "Whose Line is it Anyway?". Ended it with one of the most awesome ones.

One word: "MEOW!"

(Best part starts 3 minutes in)

Oh, and I have the next 2 days off it seems. And what do you know? My brother has visited and will be around those 2 days.

Anything they do is funny. Although this is one of their best acts.

A while ago in the Sad thread, I came to the conclusion that the best of my friends would be acquaintances to most people, and my brother was better friends than them. I was all angsty and shit over not knowing many people and not hanging out a lot.

Then I realized that when I tell stories, my friends haven't even met the people in these other groups, and I get people asking me to introduce them to others all the time. I'm extremely psyched to realize that I am far better connected than I thought.

This sounds like every rich person I've ever known.

Holy crap... Devo is back.

It seems they're trying out a new kind of Avante-Garde... crowd-sourcing every aspect of the new Devo as a statement about consumerism.  Sounds like it could make for an interesting subversion.

I don't think that this is an opinion shared by many people, but Devo was weird.

I discovered that the Achievement Generator is back online. Reacting in excitement, I necro'd an old thread regarding it. It's nice to see them all back again. I can't wait to see what else can come up thanks to the newer version's release. There has to be more material to work with nowadays.

I love them, perhaps because they're weird. They're not just musicians, but performance artists as well; their art is as much in their music (catchy as all hell) as it is in the creation of the music itself... and additional layers of art outside that as well.

They were originally created to rage against mainstreaming and commercialization, and how it dehumanizes and devalues things. After being on hiatus for a long time, they're coming back, working with Warner Brothers directly, creating a reality TV show of the creative process, and doing focus group testing for a mass-appeal advertising campaign to create "Something for everybody". And in so doing, indicating how utterly ridiculous mass-appeal advertising is, and subvert the whole thing.

I can't wait to see where they're going with this.

Mount and Blade sounds really fun, but I would need a couple things fixed around here, unfortunately they cost money.  Not the game itself.
Anyway, falling asleep during the day gives me energy to stay up later.  Whether this is a good or bad thing it's most likely bad.

EDIT:
Same time posting, neat.

Age of Change mod. Now. Even if you don't want to be a gunner it's awesome on a lot of levels.

I need to download it, troubleshoot it and then get bored with native first.
