It's a mod pack. It has settings.

It is clearly the next step up from vanilla DF and you should totally play it right now because it's the best!!!!!!!!! i'm buttmad

A lot of people are raving about it because it has a lot of content and some nice QoL improvements.

I haven't personally played it, but it's gotten me intrigued.
