I've been kicking ass at Hearthstone.

First time playing a Druid.
Turn 2 - Innervate, 4,5 Chillwind Yeti
Turn 3 - Yeti took 2 damage, but I use Mark of the Wild to put it at 6,5. Coin to Wild Growth
Turn 4 - Yeti takes another 3, Mark of the Wild again, and Healing Touch to bring it to full. I now have an 8,9 minion with Taunt on turn 4.
Opponent is dead by turn 7. Yeti survived the entire time.

tl;dr I played a bunch of cards to get a really awesome minion early and kicked butt with it.

I just took the practice ACT a year early, and did awesome. Afterwards, my dad treated me to Chipotle, and we wrote a proof that the sum of all natural numbers is equal to -1/12 on a napkin and left it on the table in order to confuse the hell out of the next customer.

So... Were you playing against a warlock or paladin? Everybody else has some sort of removal for that.

Metal Gear Rising is slowly winning me over.  The beginning was pretty horrible.  I liked Desperado's warmongering style, I thought I caught kind of a futurist vibe but maybe that's just wishful thinking.  Later on it kind of got into the usual kind of "We're gonna make you kill people and then tsk tsk you for doing it" shit that plagues a lot of games, but then I found out that you can actually spare people, sort of.

It still seemed kind of silly, Raiden dicing his way through hundreds of people and then saying with a straight face that his sword is a tool for justice, and I blew it off as typical video game bullshit until

The scene where Sam does whatever he does to make Raiden hear the cyborgs praying and begging and pissing themselves beneath the combat drugs.  That seemed like even more egregious tsk tsking and I responded in my usual curmudgeonly way, by going out of my way to be extra brutal.  Then in the Monsoon fight it was like he made the same conclusion as me, and started being the killing machine he  is.  I cheered.

Completely turned around my opinion of the game.  A+
