Been given an excuse to make a sword. Which means I have an excuse to stare at pictures of swords for a couple hours, then spend a few days actually making it. Pictures if I can remember.

I've learned that my camera does actually work with my laptop, so hopefully once I get around to reinstalling Windows again I'll never have to risk burning out my USB ports again and may be able to participate in long-distance cookoffs once more.

You are right.  That is much more amusing then it should be.
I wish I could get involved in Warhammer but there is no one here to play it with.  Everyone at my school that does that kind of thing sticks with Magic and Yugioh.

Since this is not quite a sad or WTF, I decided to post it here.

Today, I failed.
I had one job, and I failed it miserably. My dad asked me to transfer pictures from his camera to his laptop, so I plugged in the SD chip, and dragged and dropped the files into the pictures folder. It looked like it worked, so i went back to working, after deleting them at his request.
Later, he went looking for the files. They weren't there. I had somehow not copied them. But I didn't delete them either. They were still on the card.
