Just came back from watching Frozen, middle part was kinda meh, but the ending made up for all of it. I think you guys would approve of said ending very very much.
My sister liked it a lot for some reason. I heard that movie did pretty well among boys because the marketing down-played the princesses.

On a thematically similar note, It started snowing at six in the morning here, and it hasn't stopped since. It's wonderful, just coming down and down, defying the legions of salt-wielding store owners.

She has one hell of a good voice.
Huh, not much to criticize there.  Could have done with a couple of notches less reverb on the voice and a bit of an overall boost around... 10-12kHz?  Also, the sparse guitar works, but needs to be brought up five decibels or so.  But otherwise, musically, it's really good.  Is it an amateur recording?

Oh, and the picture-in-picture showing a person harmonizing with theirself thing is really corny and overdone.  I wish people would stop doing it.

I'm really happy with the work I've been getting done with magic circle geometry. Three down, two to go. Once all five are done, I'll post it in the art thread, but for now I'll just set them as avatars as I finish them, although I've gone and skipped Necromancy due to having finished the geometry before I did the fancied-up glowy image.

In the days when Sussman was a novice, Minsky once came to him as he sat hacking at the PDP-6.
“What are you doing?”, asked Minsky. “I am training a randomly wired neural net to play Tic-Tac-Toe” Sussman replied. “Why is the net wired randomly?”, asked Minsky. “I do not want it to have any preconceptions of how to play”, Sussman said.
Minsky then shut his eyes. “Why do you close your eyes?”, Sussman asked his teacher.
“So that the room will be empty.”
At that moment, Sussman was enlightened.

I got Morrowind in the mail as part of a package containing the Wii Remotes I accidentally left behind at my grandparents' house. GOTY edition, too.

Your grandparents might be awesome.

Actually, it was from my aunt, who they recently visited. Also, it was missing the main Morrowind disk, meaning I can't play it. I'll have to see what's up with that.

Yeah, that was pretty much my opinion of it. It's cool, BUT GAMES DON'T WORK LIKE THAT.

Technology doesn't work like that!

Though the mainframe was pretty impressive-lookingly-drawn.

It got rather silly by the other half of the movie, but it was still fun to watch, even though it involved a bunch of rapid-typing hacking while 'playing'. Only other character I see as getting away with that kind of behavior would be Yuki Nagato; but then again, she's a bit of an AI-like thing herself anyway.

What kinda bothers me, while watching the movie, is watching how things are in the unusually immersive interface if the Internet, compared to the GUI they were using to interact with it. Closest thing I can think of it looking like, and how similarly it would work would be the game Aurora.

Just drove a spoon into a cereal bowl as if I were driving a sword into a stone, and although milk and cereal went everywhere, I feel in a much better mood now.

That sounds like something that would happen in KoL.

What... what is a shark sleeping bag? My head's going in about three* different** directions*** and only one of them isn't vaguely nonsensical.

*Some arcane contraption that sticks a large air source over a shark proof sleeping bag, so you can sleep with the fishes. Literally.
** Sleeping bag made (at least mostly) from sharkskin. Hopefully not like that one pair of gloves... Also maybe a sleeping bag made from a hollowed out shark, which would just be strange and probably unworkable.
*** ... just a normal sleeping bag patterned to look like a shark
