Funniest Arma 2 video I've seen in a while

"Why the fuck did you do that? What is wrong with you people?"
Another day in American law enforcement.

Also, I believe I have thoroughly wrecked this mountain's shit, and thereby exposed the gooey cream filling.

In the days when Sussman was a novice, Minsky once came to him as he sat hacking at the PDP-6.
“What are you doing?”, asked Minsky. “I am training a randomly wired neural net to play Tic-Tac-Toe” Sussman replied. “Why is the net wired randomly?”, asked Minsky. “I do not want it to have any preconceptions of how to play”, Sussman said.
Minsky then shut his eyes. “Why do you close your eyes?”, Sussman asked his teacher.
“So that the room will be empty.”
At that moment, Sussman was enlightened.

Jerry cans are dangerous.
I didn't realize ARMA 2 RPs were so... well. Hilarious.

The only RPs I have experience with is certain SS13 and Gmod servers. I've had good experiences with the former, but the latter tend to be kinda "only roleplaying in that you're playing a role". I think I'd like to get into ARMA 2 roleplaying.

More or less, although I can't take much credit. Photoshop has done all the heavy lifting with regards texture and lighting.

I tried to get into making fantasy maps type stuff with GIMP, but it went the way most attempts by me to become good at a thing go. I went through the logical steps to get a bare minimum passable map and then quit because I wasn't good at it. And chronic procrastination means that I'll probably never get around to it.

Would you say Photoshop is better? I know that I personally find GIMP easier to use, but if Photoshop is functionally better then I might put up with it.

Oh man, Beaglerush's Impossible Ironman XCOM playthrough is amazing. Not only is the commentary the funniest thing I've heard in a while, but I'm actually learning things too. Thanks for introducing me to his channel.

Photoshop has one tremendous, incomparable advantage over GIMP - layer styles. There might be some plugin that duplicates the effect in GIMP that I'm unfamiliar with, but essentially it applies a number of special effects to the layer on-the-fly. You set up the style, and then it just persists and applies to whatever you put on that layer. The end result is that you're basically painting with landscape components instead of colors. As in, "Well, I'd like some lava to be over here, so I'll just paint it in".

Here's the basic tutorial. I haven't done anything that isn't a variation on the techniques you learn in there. With the exception of some parts of the clouds, but those are mostly covered up by the parts that are a result of realizing "Oh, wait, hey, these things are basically white, puffy hills in lots of places".

My first time giving blood went well. My only objections was that it took four hours from arrival to bleed (ASU's blood drive is the largest single-day blood drive in the United States), and that I failed the antigen test, so I was unable to give a double donation (which may or may not be overturned when they fully test my blood later).

The Emperor Protects.

---
Yes. Yes he does. It brings an odd amount of happiness to me to receive an official email from a company with the words, "The Emperor Protects" at the bottom. I'm seriously considering going around telling people the Emperor Protects IRL as opposed to 'Bless you' or what have you.

"You have a blessed day!"
"I will, for the Emperor protects."
"Uh... What?"
"Hope is only the first step on the road to disappointment."
"..."
"An open mind is like a fortress with it's gates unbarred and unlocked."
"What the fuck are you talking about?"
"I would rather die for the Emperor than live for myself."

Well, we could put two and two together and write a book: "The Shit that Hans and Max Did: You Won't Believe This Shit."

How dare you reference the Emperor on Bay12? This is obviously a Chaos-based forum, because we worship all gods of blood (Not just Armok, as he is all encompassing in all matters including blood) and because sanity is for the weak.

Chaos? I keep them in a cereal box and eat them every morning for breakfast. They respawn so it's a never ending supply of psychic energy cluster cereal.

Err, by coming up, I mean it's a month away. Which means that it's time for me to listen to NaNoMusical!
