Depends on the execution. I'm not all that into action movies, so it's not a concept that excites me per se.  It's something you can screw up easily (and Hollywood has a bad track record with things like that for my taste).

You know, I'd never be able to get anything like that out of, like, 300 or whatever, and that's because there's not all that much there (Things to talk about: methodologies of conversion from a comic book, imperialism/othering and why you'd do that in the larger historical context, yawwwwwn).  It's just that when I'm watching a film, reading some book, I pay a lot of attention to how I'm feeling.  I pay attention to which images stick in my memory as frozen frames, and which I remember as moving sequences.  If something feels familiar or unfamiliar, I remember that.  I let myself feel everything without judging it, but I do make sure I remember.

For example, it is pretty weird to see a robot and get overwhelming messages of safety and comfort from your lizard-brain, but rather than quashing that down I figured out why that was.  And then, when I saw how intentional it was, I tried to figure out why someone would want it that way.

It wasn't exactly stored in essay format or something.  It was all just "stuff my body knew when I watched the movie."

The original Patsy's Pizzeria had their annual anniversary event, where they roll back the prices to the original prices, in 1931. My mom and I had a plate of Parmigiana, Mussels, some salad of some sort, spaghetti, and a whole Pepperoni Pizza pie, for $2.80. Also tonight I'm going to a complimentary Yankees game.
