I'm not sure how I feel about Prequel. I love the Elder Scrolls setting, and the story does a good job of staying true to the source material. Kazerad's stories tend strongly toward torturing the audience, though. "Hey guys, lets watch terrible things happen to these characters you like! And then watch them slowly struggle to get things back under control again... and just as they do, lets watch even worse things happen!" I half-jokingly called him on it, but he made a wonderful little illustrated reply. So I sorta forgive him. At least he's aware of it.

I was worried that my trust- that same trust I once naively gave to our dear Hussie- was about to be broken. I feared that Kazerad too would succumb to the siren's song of schadenfreude... that he would join in the Sadist's Revelry that is the purview of the professional troll, watching his audience squirm as he tormented the characters we've come to know an love. Each time he let us watch them climb one flight of stairs, he would push them down two more, until our voices wail in turn an unbroken chorus of "IT KEEPS HAPPENING"s.

No. Instead, I was introduced to the best damned character since ever, the Countess got some embarrassing comeuppance for her nastiness, and Katia's railroaded fall turned out to be nothing more than a prank! Oh Kazerad, you jester you! Surely, I can trust you to never do that, ever. No sir.

You sure are glad that you can trust Kazerad to never torture your favorite characters! No-sir-ee, there is absolutely no chance that he would make anything terrible happen to them. If he did... it would just break your little butterfly heart.

But you know he won't. You're sure of it.

As for the Quill Weave sidestory he's doing... honestly, I kinda liked only hearing about, but never seeing Katia's horrible drunken sprees. Quill getting a bit of backstory, and the Magical Gaydar gag, helped make up for it.

Whatever the case, I love the craziness, and the art style is beautiful. And the way he exploits the interactive potential of webcomics (the second dream sequence was incredible). Good stuff.

Not to mention that if you look closely, the combat training montage is actually in full 3D. It's a very artistically and technically impressive endeavor.

Agreed about Katia's shenanigans. Actually kind of terrible to see (even though the reason for her appearance makes sense). I loved the DM, though.

Infiltrator with a Black Widow V.  I didn't fully max out weapons damage, though, because I also had a crazy incinerate/cryo ammo/explosive pistol shot (via the Scorpion) combo I used a lot and was ridiculously fond of.  Largely because it turned people into crystal and then they exploded, or it turned a group of people into crystal and then they really exploded.  To the point where it took out unfrozen enemies around them.

I think I may have also killed multiple guys with the same bullet, though I'm not sure if that wasn't just Garrus and I sniping the same cluster simultaneously.

I loved it, I thought it was brilliant, and I don't regret the $40 I spent on the series in total.  It's a literary ending, and I can see why a lot of people would be upset about it, even with the extended cut; it doesn't make sense unless you've paid a lot of attention to the previous themes and played pretty consistently, so that everything gets set up right.  There you are!  Establishing a new pattern of synthesis, or control, or destruction, which were pretty much the options.  There were a lot of callbacks to ME1, so that we have a classical structure of Thesis, Antithesis, Synthesis.  For me, I felt it was basically perfect.  I wish more of the game had been as intense as the last parts, or hinted at that intensity.  Some of the major events seemed a bit too easy, but on the other hand I did do a lot of legwork in previous games working towards them, so...

I liked as well that we got to visit so many home planets.  Look, it had some design flaws, but I thought that it was really quite good overall.  The only thing I really, really disliked was that directly after the ending we're spat back to being on the Normandy, basically going "okay, now replay the end ."  No.  The suggestion was a suggestion to replay everything, to my opinion, and the right thing to do was to go back to the loading screen.  Bouncing us back to just before the Cerberus home base was a terrible narrative idea.

Priority:Earth was one of the few times in the game when I was actually really scared; Shepard was basically a pincushion, it was pretty dreadful, and everything was so gray.  I also wish they'd gotten Shepard's voice actress to make more OH SHIT THEY'RE SHOOTING ME LET'S GURGLE AND DIE noises like she did in ME2, and that friendly fire was on, because I intentionally shot my boyfriend in the head a lot of times, I have to say.  But on the other hand you can chalk a lot of that up to more experience on her part.

... In case anyone was wondering I got the very very very worst ending because I couldn't control myself and then I got the very best ending because I'm a cool cat like that.

It can get worse. The Geth sniper rifle has higher damage, higher penetration, and free wallhax. Have fun.

romance, on the other hand, takes around 8 - 13 from what I remember. Massive time difference, and although the romance in question is one of the more actually romantic ones, it just seems to ... take away from that, y'know?
