Storms.

We've got loads of storms here. I just got visited by a storm about a few days ago. Caused many internet problems.

And then? Then it passes.

It passes, and I got to see its movement along with all the lightning, minus the thunder, and a beautiful sunset all in one.

Imagine a sunset, clear in the horizon and only fettered by mountains (because of my location: a plateau on a mountain range) in clear hues of aquamarine, blue and darker shades, then a dark mass of broiling clouds. Occasional flashes of white lightning illuminating the skies, both below and above.

'Tis beautiful, and I'm pretty sure the people who are under the storm are doing ok judging by the news. Just a lot of wind...

My idiot nephew won't to listen to his dad, who in this instance is absolutely right.... Also he's been kind of a total jackass to me lately.... This is especially stupid of him given, he's wasted how much of my time bailing him out of stupid criminal crap?

So I have people whining allllll the time. All around me. Contrary to popular belief, I do listen. One of them complains about their PlayStation 2 being broken and how they may as well throw it out.... The thing is messed up and has been beaten a bit. Idiot nephew has a PS 2.... He loves it. I immediately ask the person complaining if I can have their busted PS 2 since they are throwing it out. They say yes.... At this point, I am in possession of a broken PlayStation 2 game consol.

Nephew won't listen to his dad or stop being a jackass to me.... I hide his PS2 and drop "his" PS2 (actually the other broken one) in a big bucket of water right in front of him. I also drop magnets in the bucket just for the hell of it, because I understand that those also somehow mess with electronics. He freaks out goes to get his mom....

I ditch the bucket, hide the now wet PS2, and hook up his PS2 to the TV and start playing a game on it. They come back.... They are very confused.

Your move you lil shit.

Just got back from seeing "Man of Steel" in the theater with Wolfeyez. It was pretty good, although it could have been a 10/10 if the scripting called for a couple of things.

What I wanted was a "World of Cardboard" speech, and the line "KNEEL BEFORE ZOD!" Sadly, I got neither.

There are many things wrong with that movie. If you ask any DC comics fan, they will either tell you they hated it, or they didnt see it because all their friends hated it. The chief problem is the ending.

SUPERMAN DOESN'T KILL PEOPLE. He would never have killed Zod because he would've found some other way. He always finds another way. He's fucking Superman. That and he just watches his earth dad die because there were too many people around that would see if he saved him. Big whoop, so what? You'll turn back time so save Lois Lane but you won't save your dad because "oh there are too many people watching!" No. Just no.

Got my latest board game idea out of my head and fully prototyped last week, as well as got in two play sessions. Quite solid, so far, and the core of the game is just down to balancing. I have other stuff I want to add in, but those can wait.

So now I have a new board game to play/tinker with and my brain can finally stop pestering me about it!

Work gave me a gift card for my birthday. It wasn't much, but it was enough to pay for The Secret World, which I had been interested in for some time now.

Aside from a few quibbles with their borderline-nonfunctional registration, it's been pretty fun. I can say it's the best MMO I've ever purchased, second only to the original Guild Wars.

Why yes, the only other MMO I've ever purchased was Guild Wars.

I kid. Despite the backhanded compliment, I couldn't be happier.
