Been thunder-storming for the past 6 days or so, and everything smells all damp and earthy <3.  Even so, Nature is running a few months late; "June showers bring July flowers" just doesn't have the same ring.

We lost power at home today, so I packed up my sketchpad and work binder, and popped over to my brother's new house. Was going to get a head start on work, but I got thoroughly distracted by his hacked Nintendo Wii, and its preposterous game library. Ended up scraping the bottom of the barrel, and trying out a bunch of obscure and crappy Wii games best left forgotten, and a few gems I'd missed as well. I'm mentally billing it as Research. :3

Currently in the process of crashing on his couch, with the remains of a thunderstorm pattering down outside. Good evening, all in all.

I really like Snapshot.  It... feels good?  I don't know how to put it.  It's very neatly put together, with good graphics direction.  I like the levels.  I have had to think about them some, and I've barely gotten through the intro.

Liking things I'm not totally obsessed with is something new for me that's come in over the past five years or so.  I'm enjoying that feeling.

!!!!!

There's more? Thank you.

Once I've sorted through the six days of music I've already got queued, I shall get the additions.
*slightly belated* Yeah, the albums have stuff in them that never hit the site itself. OCRemix has fairly strict submission guidelines (at least regarding a few things) that the albums tend to be able to play with a bit more loosely, so there's usually at least a few per album that never clears it for the site. That doesn't mean they're not good -- as the OC Remix folks state fairly regularly in the little description blurbs, just because a piece doesn't clear OC Remix's heuristic does not in any way necessarily entail it's not good music -- just that they've got some aspects that don't clear the hurdles (often the arrangement qualification, so you end up with excellent remixes, just not exemplary video game music arrangements. There's an important distinction there!).

Liking things I'm not totally obsessed with is something new for me that's come in over the past five years or so.  I'm enjoying that feeling.

Yeah, there's quite a bit of storm this weekend.

Happies: Following my test yesterday, went out to eat not once but twice, for lunch then again for dinner. Dinner was at a local pizza chain, with wonderful pizza. Then something went wron with our pizza and one of the slices basically had a giant hole in it and so they made us another one on the house.

You know what's also amazingly upbeat and hits the spot?  Bakuman.  Bakuman is a wonderful piece of work.  Oh, and another thing--I'm well-rested today, for the first time in ever.  Finally got enough sleep.  I feel great and I'm fired up to start doing awesome things.

Indeed.  What I realized is that if I'm going to do it, I might as well enjoy it--no matter what "it" is.

Played Undertale. Somehow accomplished the best ending first without knowing it.

The story. The timing. The reaction and musical cues..are amazing.

A mixture of sadness and happiness got me through the ends. It's scary, and also..provoking, like a new adventure all over again.

...And it's just a demo.

Saw the kickstarter: Was amazed.

Also, Saturday off from school. I'll never forget my want of the whole 2 weekend thing just like before.

A day to sleep.  :P

I got to go to Coventry today, wandered around the awesome book store there and wound up picking up A Canticle For Leibowitz... It was actually just the cheapest of several books I saw there that I was interested in, but the awesome part was going around looking at all the books. Have I mentioned I really love wandering around book stores looking through all the titles and reading the backs of books and such?
For me this is an epic level happy thing.

How oddly specific.

(I like doing that too)

Yoga is stupidly hard. Also the most relaxing thing I have done in the past couple months.

Ahhhhh.
