As long as you don't unironically use dudebro as a single word...

I do use it ironically, though as dudebromanbrodude.

I don't say dudebro.  But I have been made fun of by an ex for talking like a surfer, so.  YMMV.

I've finally started my online summer classes.  I am actually having fun.  I got my window open, so there's a nice breeze coming in, I am in my blanket, so that breeze isn't making me cold, I got a cat, which is making it a bit hard to type my assignments at times, and I got clean sheets on my bed.  Plus, I can interupt my work at any time for a quick break.  Why can't actual school be this easy and relaxing?

That reminds me of a discussion my and some other people were having in our English class earlier this year.  Paraphased version-

I use bro to refer to my brother as I'm talking to him, and that's about it.

I use dudebro, but mostly with the early-20-somethings at work and college.

Dude, I use dude all the time.

In happy news, I just passed the first part of my CDL test! Pre-trip inspection. Next time, it'll be yard maneuvers.

When I was young, I learned how to speak from a lot of flowery old books, and as a result sounded super-formal. After a while, I realized people didn't get what I was saying, and I seemed to be putting my classmates and friends off with my weird, archaic word choice.

So I made a point of adding a bunch of fun vernacular from different regional dialects to help balance out the diction; Y'all, ain't, dude, bro, like, whatever, etc. So these days, when someone understands what I'm saying, I can strait-up compliment the dude on his rad perspicacity, or whatever.

I've gotta say, I'm happy with the result.

MY LIFE STORY. Seriously, though, that's funny. Do you also pronounce words wrong because you've only read them and never heard them used?

Yes.  Rarely, but I still sometimes discover that I've been pronouncing something wrong in my head for forever.
