In the days when Sussman was a novice, Minsky once came to him as he sat hacking at the PDP-6.
“What are you doing?”, asked Minsky. “I am training a randomly wired neural net to play Tic-Tac-Toe” Sussman replied. “Why is the net wired randomly?”, asked Minsky. “I do not want it to have any preconceptions of how to play”, Sussman said.
Minsky then shut his eyes. “Why do you close your eyes?”, Sussman asked his teacher.
“So that the room will be empty.”
At that moment, Sussman was enlightened.

Obvious question: Out of how many?

Oh, god. 50 Shades audiobook streaming with other internet people. Ahahahahhaa the poor reader.
Lol. I'm glad I've never read that thing. I should be, right?
Oh, yes.
Scelly you have doomed me, now I must read it!

Oh wow, this ant-bait is really effective. Put it outside of where their nest is... There's so many of them ferrying it into their nest that they're jostling to get a drinking position around a postage-stamp sized droplet. Being a considerate roommate with these ants, I added a few more droplets so everyone would have room!

Yessss, drink your death-nectar. Enjoy it for the rest of your lives. >:3

More science! I didn't know that asteroids could have moons...

Well a moon is what we call a pretty big satellite, so I guess so?
I don't know, those space boys can be a little arbitrary with their categorizations. Planet, dwarf planet, where do you draw the line?

Does seem a little nebulous, I mean...can an object that's two miles long really have a satellite? It just doesn't seem like it'd be big enough to hold onto one.

In any case, the article talked about binary/trinary systems, so it's clear we've got a mini Pluto-and-Charon setup here, not an Earth-and-Moon one, much less a Jupiter-and-its moons setup.

I've found that regular sugar can kill an ant nest.

Just drop a pile near the nest and a couple of days later the ants will be wallowing in hedonism and the nest should dissapear.

I just figured out how to use redstone Comparators. Believe it or not, they can detect how much stuff is in a block inventory and translate that into a redstone signal.

Well, assuming a spherical celestial body of mass m and radius R (include atmosphere for non-degrading orbit) that orbits another body of mass M with a semi-major axis a, it is possible to have a satellite if isn't too massive and if (approximately):

R < RSOI where RSOI = a(m/M)0.4

If that holds, then it's merely a matter of having the right orbital velocity at a given height h where R < h < RSOI.

At first I skimmed this post and just got the 'poison' part without realising what was being poisoned... I was about to get all upset about such cruelty when I re-read it and realised the victims were ants. Yay! Happy! Happy that ants are being poisoned somewhere! :D
