Another happy thing! I went to Shakespear in the Park and handed out about 200 programs, then watched half the show, rolled down a gigantic hill, and wandered around the park for an hour with friends. We also found about 30 hippies in a drum circle with fire dancers and light up hulahoops absolutely stoned. It was hilarious.

I had just gotten off after a twelve hour shift, was walking down the wharf dead tired, and my ipod decided to randomly shuffle. It does this whenever I walk with in in my pants pocket, apparently because my stride shakes it perfectly to replicate the auto-shuffle movement (which I can never do when I try to do it). I'm annoyed for all of a couple seconds, basically long enough for me to realize what song had come up. That was a nice long laugh.

“What are you doing?”, asked Minsky. “I am training a randomly wired neural net to play Tic-Tac-Toe” Sussman replied. “Why is the net wired randomly?”, asked Minsky. “I do not want it to have any preconceptions of how to play”, Sussman said.
Minsky then shut his eyes. “Why do you close your eyes?”, Sussman asked his teacher.
“So that the room will be empty.”
At that moment, Sussman was enlightened.
