Thanks to the Dusty Old Games thread, I've been playing Oni and Railroad Tycoon 2.  I should be upset about this - I beat Oni, twice, years ago; and Railroad Tycoon is bugged to Hell and a very dry sandbox.  But I remembered one of it's best features - really great music.  I've been humming that song for two days.
I have that with several even more dusty games of the days of 64RAM computing! :D
Rampage, Bubble Bobble and most especially Zoids, that last game I even ran just to hear the music, never quite got the game itself.
Only other game I did that for was HW1, the burnt world scene, but that was a loaned classical piece so doesn't really count as game music.

Depressed rat died this night, pity, it was doing better for a while. His scions don't seem to be too shook up about it thankfully.

Sold a stack of books today, bought a New Scientist and two cans of lager with the proceeds and spent the rest of the day reading in the sun. This pleased me to no end. :P

Been investigating the requirements for an interactive touchscreen table, for use as a nifty cocktail table as well as a programming challenge. These things are so cool!  8)
Besides having no room to keep something like this another problem is the excessive costs for the specialized acrylic and beamer/projector. I will surely revisit this project as soon as I'm rich and relocated to a penthouse. ;)

Going to an Anime Convention tomorrow.

Because I am a nerdy bastard, and times like this is when I most enjoy that fact.

My friend had a booth at Anime North, I believe.

Now all I'm going to hear from her this month is how much she loved being there.

Finding a Guitar in Stalker: Call of Pripyat.

I had noticed basically everyone else had one, and was lamenting over the fact that I thought I was unable to have one.

Then, a random stalker I happened to talk to traded one to me.

For some reason, this made me extremely happy.

I'm just waiting for a mod that lets you sit down and play it.

I'm having difficulties playing Morrowind.
Not because it's hard or my computer can't run it.
I always install save-breaking mods after maybe a day of playing real-time.

It's not the mods that are the trouble, it's Morrowind's PoS game engine. The game is the Holy Grail of memory leaks, and as a result, CTDs. I've played it for 4 years. Sometimes you have a good day, maybe only 1 or 2 crashes in an entire day of gameplay. Sometimes you have a bad day, and you get a Crash to Desktop every 5 minutes.

My friend and I kicked ass on MTG on Xbox 360. :D
We had around 130 life thanks to several artifacts and our enemy had around 80 for the same reasons.
I drew a card that summons a token during the beginning of each upkeep, which are 1/1. I also had most of my creatures played, a lot of which were strong, the weakest being 2/1. I played a card called overrun which gives all my creatures +3/+3 and trample for my entire turn and we went and attacked with all our creatures. That gave me about 24 4/4 tokens with trample and various other incredi-buffed creatures, including one that had power and toughness equal to the amount of forests I had, which I had 19 of. We managed to bring our opponents to -150! :D When I use the Teeth of the Predator deck and my friend uses Thoughts of Wind, we are REALLY kickass! We nearly lost due to running out of cards, though.

Hah, Magic geekery.

Apparently one of PETA's arguments against the eating of animals is how much water is used to make a pound of meat.

I'm curious when PETA forgot about photosynthesis and the water cycle  :P

I assume that a requirement of joining PETA is having the IQ of a rock.
