I remember writing a paper on Wilson's 'Einstein on the Beach', and listening to the soundtrack for 48 straight hours, even while I slept, in a desperate bid to gain full understanding of it.

That fucked me up.

Only problem with that is that you don't remember parts. I've done that before, but it was only like, 50 hours awake.

Currently in the middle of watching the whole Lord of the Rings extended edition. Apparently it's like a little over eleven hours. Decent enough time for a marathon.

A friend and I once had the idea of taking a season of 24 and watching one episode an hour, starting at the time the show started. We never got around to it but I still think it's a cool idea.

Only if you time it just right. I guess you could just take 20 minute breaks every hour, but that sounds like it would sort of ruin the point.
