Happy birthday, Janet!

Just finished watching Gladiator.  Joaquin Phoenix is a scary, scary man.  Fun to see, though.

Yeah, I was actually kind of disappointed that that beautiful white armor didn't get smeared with more blood.  They wasted a really good chance.

(Also, all of the close-ups on the combat were hella muddy, but on the other hand the costuming was fantastic so it's not like I'm going to complain)

I was actually referring to the actor himself :D

He put on a bunch of weight, grew a ton of facial hair, started wearing sunglasses all the time, and abandoned his acting career to become a rapper... and he's supposedly really bad at it.  He booked a bunch of talk show appearances and had this big coming out about "This is who I really am" and had this total bizarre personality shift.  I guess I shouldn't criticize him for being whoever he wants to be, but it sucks that he's not acting anymore.

Ok, I some people suspected that it was a publicity stunt, and it turns out it was.  I hadn't checked up on what happened to him in years.

Playing Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning.  The main story has one plot twist after another, I swear.  I know, some people would say it's not the most amazing story out there, but it's certainly gotten interesting in my opinion.

Yeah, gonna be in Wisconsin for a couple days, I guess o_O
Assuming it's the place you mentioned in the Sad thread, you probably wouldn't be too far from where I'm at. I could probably meet up with you somewhere if you want company, or at least get you good recommendations of places to visit since my oldest sister has done some training with that company in the past.
