While trying to generate a cool random name for my fortress, I got "The Incinerated Fortress". It's really a shame I decided against having that auto-flooding magma moat.

EDIT: Wait, fortress names don't include "the". I guess it was the group's name.

I burst out laughing when the game's random name generator threw out "The Yellow Pages" for my group.

Had a fortress Smutracks and thegroup random through out, of the vessels of flashing. The mother civ even followed the sort of...theme I had going, but I forgot that one. I also happen to have a female goddess in my current fort. A skeletal dwarf form and is the goddess of war, fortressess, wealth, mountains and death. Now if only she covered magma she'd be the be all, end all.

Is there a way to find all these names from fortress mode?

Fortress name should be viewable in the z screen, and civ name in the c screen (it's the dwarf civ  - unless you've modded that). As for the group name, I'm not sure. You can look for it in the engravings, though, if you have them to show all history. Just look for the ones showing the funding of the fortress.

My current fortress is Mebzuthkular, "Oarwondered" of Kedineth, "The Fed City". The group (I assume that's what all dwarves are members of on their pref screens) is The North Fortification.

Not very exciting, but I keep wondering if Oarwondered is an aftereffect of something Boatmurdered.

I can only hope that the Nobles issue any Mandate or Demand with the phrase "This I COMMAND."
