As TheFool's SO, I swear he will get back to you guys ASAP. Right now, he's on track to finish early, so the minute he's done, he'll be posting here. Even if I have to use whips to get it done. >_>

*shoos away the vast herds of dust bunnies that were threatening to overrun the place*

Sorry it has been so long but about half way through November I had surgery on my elbow which rendered me unable to even type for a bit.  :(

After that came the holidays with all their associated distractions, but now that all that is over with I can finally get back to this.  So, fear not.  The story will continue even if it does take me a bit to get my head back into it after being away for two months.

Welcome back!

I hope you have/had a good recovery from the surgery.

And there was much rejoicing. Now all we need is for the Toady One to recover from swine flu and all will be right with the world.

you may or may not have heard of my reputation in community games.

i've usually died in most of them, or brought about the forts end.

Yeah, I read.most of the community games, so I've noticed the trend.

Try picking dwarves that are less likely to go outside. Safer that way.

Just read the whole thing.  :D I really like it.
I will have to try starting a fort with untrained dwarves myself. It really adds to their personality that they have been build up from nothing. :)

Got a real immigrant wave finally.

In the process of matching up the new dwarves with folks who requested them.
The list of people I have waiting on dwarves is:
  • Metal Militia
  • Grendus
  • Elizar
  • Argonnek
  • Mr Lobster
  • Rickvoid
  • Zifnab
  • Dermonster

The new dwarves I have are:
  • Woodworker (F)
  • Bowyer (F)
  • Blacksmith (M)
  • Craftsdwarf (M)
  • Fisherdwarf (M)
  • Fish Cleaner (M)

That's 8 requests and six new dwarves so two folks are still going to be waiting.  Depending on what people asked for I'll do my best to match you up with an appropriate dwarf in the order they were requested. Once I have that sorted out I should be able to actually write up the next chapter(s).

Oh, and I have one Donkey Foal that is a pet of the Blacksmith.
