What are my options?

This reminds me, once the next version of DF comes out I must make that fort dedicate to brewing sprites into beverages...

I'll grab the the soaper. Could you train her to be a farmer?

Name: Fora
Job: (current) Soaper. But she aspires to be a farmer and eventually a brewer.

She comes from a long line of proficient soapers. However, given that 97% of dwarves don't even know what soap is, and the remaining 3% are mostly nobles, it is a thankless profession. Pressured by her parents to join in the soaper's guild and to pursue this mocked career, she fled the fortress. By chance, she happened upon a group of dwarven immigrants heading for a rumored fortress devoted to brewing alcohol. This inspired her, and she decided to join in the enterprise that every dwarf can appreciate. She's untrained, but eager to learn.

I'll grab the female peasant then. (Somehow I missed who exactly was still available when reading the journal).

She will also become a crossbow dwarf. Name her Southwind. In the meantime, you can give her bowyer and bone/wood carving and have her make crossbows and practice bolts.

A census of all claimed dwarves and a list of deities has been put up in the first page.

I've played through the winter, but it's too late for editing notes into anything cohesive. I'll get the story post up tomorrow along with screens of the fort as of now.
