Depending on my work schedule next week. I'll see if I'll be livestreaming Monday or not. If I'm not busy today, I might LS earlier; and probably still go for Monday.

Like the new banner? I figured it needed an update more suited to my skills.

Ooh, fancy banner. And by the way, it's important to specify your time zone. 4pm here is 4am there and all that.

TIME OF AVAILABILITY: Depends on my work schedules, other broadcasters, and what's on TV. If nobody's broadcasting, or if I'm bored, I'll play without alerting anyone (but this post will be updated before/after I start).

TIME ZONE: (GMT-05:00) Eastern Time (US & Canada)
EST. TIME OF BROADCAST (If Planned, will be noted): Monday?, 4PM? - ?PM
NEXT BROADCAST: N/A , ?PM - ?AM

It's right there in the OP. I guess I'll highlight it to draw attention there.

Oh, and it seems I have the first half of the week open at least. So, depending if I have today open, I might broadcast.

Readying broadcast. Just give me 5 minutes to get ready. Restocking supply.

Just did a L4D2 run, got a few accomplishments. Pardon the delay.

Well, we're offline now:

Before everybody inexplicably disappeared. Something annoying happened. I got $88000 before I died in one of the cheapest manners possible, JUST before I got to reach the next stage to pay off Mattock Man.
In a bit of frustration, I stopped playing Spelunky, and decided to play a bit of DoomRL.

Here's my best run of the night.

Okay, online once again; continuing some more demon-mauling in DoomRL.

I was live, and everyone was already just about gone. Procaster crashed; so I didn't bother bringing it back up.

I'm taking a minor break to eat. I'll be back online in 15-30 mins.

Post mortem of best run (recorded the last minutes of it):

Spoiler: post-mortem (click to show/hide)

Got gunned down by a plasma wielding commando.

That is maybe the most epic run I've made in my career of DoomRL.

Kudos to ZChris for giving me some pointers.

I'm in love with Ammochain now. A modified plasma rifle with that is overkill.

It's a shame I never got to use my BFG. :'(

And before you question my tactics, I was trying to make my red armor and BFG last until I face a Cyberdemon or Spider Mastermind.

Might consider playing/showing off Audiosurf tonight at 8 (-5 GMT). I'm gonna sort through my music beforehand in the meantime so it would be easier to choose.

I'm up for song ideas as well to play through, but give me time to find them, unless you PM me the tune.

To start, I might go through some Kutiman or DJ Shadow or something; heck, I might even start with some tunes from Chrono Cross. Those are pretty fun to play through. But I could use some slower tunes as well.

After enough roguelikes, I figure my eyes need a break from seeing everything as ASCII characters and finding demons and arachnitrons and such all over the screen while reading.

Okay, I'm beginning my broadcast. Ready to listen to some tunes? Wanna watch some tunes?

I'm open to requests, provided I have them in stock.

Procaster's being a bastard. I'm stopping already. Screw it. I updated it. Apparently my version I was using was out of date.

Hopefully the update is worth it.

It was worth it (sort of). Continuing with ending broadcast.

Until I have things settled with; I'll just end it here. F***ing procaster. It's such a baby.

I think I found a solution. Stupidly simple. Copy Steam to the other drive, and reload it. Remember to delete clientregistry.blob, and then reload Steam. It would be like rewriting the memory of the system.

According to info I came across many sources, it's claimed to work. ;D

53.4 GB of data. 20 freaking minutes of transfer. Hell of alot better than my solution; delete all, and reinstall all. :P

I might actually be able to continue broadcast tonight.

Okay, I figured out the source of the problem. Despite all the issues I encountered, as well as figuring out a way to fix it; I ran through all the issues in my head, and tested them out with the broadcast. My conclusion is that there might a ton of traffic on the Procaster servers considering the holidays and all.

Maybe after Christmas I'll try to jump back on again. By then, I should have possibly more tunes. On that note; I'm open to more ideas in those regards.

Re: (OFFLINE) Itnetlolor's Letters of Uncertainty (4PM DF Adventure (-8 GMT))
« Reply #58 on: December 30, 2009, 02:05:19 am »

Considering the bandwidth might be freed from all the holiday cheer and crap, I think we'll be able to pay with minimal screw ups again. Seeing as other stations seem to be running smoothly again, I might take a crack at this once more. Seems I was right about it somewhat. Anyway, I'll be seeing you there. And I haven't established exactly when I'll cut off the broadcast, so I might be on longer than I would normally expect.

The game: Dwarf Fortress, Adventurer Mode, and maybe a tour of my project thus far. After that, make a choice according to what I have on Steam. Any intensive game, obviously, I'll nerf the quality to something playable, and broadcastable.

I haven't optimized them all for livestreaming, so give me a moment to set them up if I haven't already.

Hopefully, I can play other games like Tropico (if chosen) full screen with the ability to chat.

Oh yeah, and my music list (thanks to Audiosurf) should be more organized, and better set for playing along with.

Sorry everyone for messing up the time zone for my broadcast. I somehow miscalculated by 3 hours.

I think it was late when I made the announcement.

Okay, I decided that after 4 hours of playing, I'll call it quits.

I continued a little more Tower Defense, and made it quite far, and many achievements earned as well.

I'll continue improving my adventuring skills. By then I should be slaying dragons with cyclops corpses instead.
