What?  Why would Photobucket block the nazi drow?

Wait, WHAT? Aww man, that was my one contribution to this thread! I really need to set aside more time for drawing...

I should outsource my clip to a korean animation sweatshop.

I have a new respect for even poorly done animation, simply due to the fact that even trying to reuse as many frames as possible still leaves a lot more frames than I am comfortable with.

There is always the option of making everything stiff and just moving the mouth and panning the backdrop. Problem is that doesn't really work in this scene. Maybe I could just paint the each clip and then pan it.

Made a really quick sketch of a dwarven merchant. And his mule.

Spoiler (click to show/hide)

Just for the sake of drawing dwarves. Might refine this some, maybe not. Depending on whatever moods hit me.

Hopefully it will be a fell mood.

Perhaps a good addition would be a ridiculous caged animal on the back of the mule.

Either I've been really creative lately or the dwarves are just very very inspiring.

This time, I dropped the pencil and grabbed the tablet, and tried to figure out how some painting tools work.

This was the result.

Painting eyes is really hard. At least when you want them both to look the same...

Painting eyes is difficult, especially if you aren't using references. They might start to look more natural if you choose a light source and start to set in the eye sockets a bit with shading.

I think you could also try to do some tricks by abusing layers; for example, if you are using photoshop(other programs may use other terms, I've only used photoshop), you can just draw the eyes without the shine in one layer, then make a layer in screen mode, and paint white in the areas you need to shine, touching up the edges with the blur and smudge tools.

Edit:  Oh yeah, here's the first painting I've finished in photoshop since getting it (little bit of a cartoony style here, I think that is what could use the most work).  Note that I do not yet have an artist tablet:

The background is mostly just something I threw together in a few minutes so that there wouldn't be a big white space - so I know that part sucks.

Alternately: The Brick Testament. It's a really fun look at what the bible would look like if interpreted literally. With Legos.
Just so I remember

This is a red salamander. It menaces with spikes of voidspace and salamander bone. It is encrusted with sapphire and ruby. On it is a picture of strange runes in jade.

Void . . . space?  What is voidspace?
Thanks though.
