looks pretty proportionally correct, the ony thing that jumps out at me is the head on the left side (of our perspective) of the mohawk is indented, making the head look heart-shaped-y, in fact looking at it again: the whole mohawk looks slightly indented.

Spoiler (click to show/hide)

any-anyways, please share moar thoughts! I would like to ask an important question though: How do I make my background mountains more... mountainy? Actually, im not too sure how to do rockiness in general, in the foreground the grey-er parts are supposed to be rocky, but.. that just doesn't feel... detailed enough?
Not sure about the background, but with computer graphics there's the bonus of being able to add textures to a piece using pre-existing images. For example, photoshopping images of a crocodile's scaly back onto concept art of a dragon, to help suggest the texturing of the dragon's scales without having to spend tons of time detailing each scale. It's common in the concept art business when pieces have to be done in a quick time.

There's references for the technique online, and I'd imagine for multiple programs. It uses layers and transparency and magic stuff like that.

I'd probably recommend adding "rocky" textures to the closer rock formations and then suggesting the background has the same detail...by, uh...adding similar detailing to it by hand. I don't recall the term for it, but it's to imply the back rock has as much texture as the closer rocks, but the detail just can't be seen due to the background being further away. hope this helps a bit.  :P

My first time drawing in the mac version of paint ever.  He's a beet farmer.

I might draw some more later.  I probably won't.  I probably should make his skin less white, and not have the complexion of a vampire.  Surprisingly, he has a similar complexion to me.   :P

Hi guys. Been gone for awhile.

Trying to get back into the swing of things so here is the last thing I drew (a crossover between Young Justice and Invader Zim, for a friend).

nice! i would put a darker background though, pure white is tough on the eyes. i would also add some more shadow on the face from the helmet. very nice chrome though!

orc-sketch to try out wacom

i thought of something now when i saw your lady dwarf. wouldnt it be cool to paint dwarfes based on dwarf fortress descriptions? to have it like some theme for a daily sketch group or something. if this already exist, please show me where?

I think he looks HAPPY. Positively beaming. Like it's goblin christmas and the demon king just chose him to guide the doomsleigh. I guess that could be either a grin or a grimace, though.

I believe there was something along those lines, but for forgotten beasts, in one of the upper sections a year or so ago.

Edit:
Yep. Looks like a new round started fairly recently too. :)

I think there was one for adventure mode too :)

Seeing as I'm home I scanned up some stuff from my sketchbook (which while awesome for taking out pages for scanning is rather fragile and is already falling apart despite being in used for less than a month). This was all scanned, cropped and the contrast was slightly increased (so they're kinda huge):

There's something magically about pencil on paper, it just gives you something you can't get from digital art.
