That red thing looks awfully familiar

That freaked me out a bit. Not too different from the thing that kept haunting my dreams as a kid. Then one night, in the dream, I clearly remember I took a decision to stop running and turn to face the fucker... and he was gone. Haven't had a nightmare since.

Yeah, the scariest part is that it seems i'm not the only one, i've shown it to some other people and they think they saw it somewhere too.

Your mind will make up a lot of shit and do its best to convince of stuff for no apparent reason. It will create memories based around a story or stimulus of some sort. The other possibility is that you've sold your soul to the devil along with these other people and you're being hunted down as you read this.

It's a basic demonic archetype. Humanoid, red, horned with a freaky face. That would explain why the image would spark a certain level of recognition and familiarity in certain people.

Probably five or six hours, all up. Seven at worst. I started it last night and plinked away until the wee hours while also playing a couple of games, then coloured it this morning.

Hey, I made some pixel art for a game I'm working on in a programming class that I've been told isn't horrible, and I was wondering if I could get some feedback from the forums, and also advice on drawing humans in such a small scale.  First things first, is this the right thread for that sort of thing?  I've seen mostly traditional art here, so I wanted to check and make sure the wasn't a more appropriate thread that I had missed. Ok, thanks.  I'll just modify this one rather than posting again.

These are the two sprite sheets (we've been learning as we go along, so my assets and code need some cleaning).

And this is an in game shot using a good few of them.

This is from the combat engine, which is far less developed.

So my crundles are staying intact unless they're newly spawned... until they are exposed to anything that isn't at room temperature.  This mostly seems to mean blood, specifically, their own.  Then they go poof very quickly.

I know I've posted this one before, but since it represents the best piece of digital linework I've done so far, I'm using it to refine my coloring and shading routines. And character design in general.

Either some stronger contrasts or heavier lines to make it all a bit more distinguishable, make it pop a bit, maybe change the background color to something lighter.

The background will receive its due attention as well. For now it's sketchy and sloppily shaded/colored.

I really need to look into the whole shading/coloring/texturing thing a little more thoroughly.

Also crank up the contrast or the strenght of the colors there, everything seems to blend in with the scenery and there is quite a bit of color running around and distracting away from the main guy.
