I got an idea along the lines of *Bard's Guild*. Or something.

'Kay, and shamelessly stole the introductory post from Spreggo.

Hope you won't mind Spreggo?

heh I don't mind. I play guitar, but I've already got two 'guilds' going.

You might want to rewrite the text a bit to be more focused on music though.

bland mountain scene.png yeahhh (it's still a wip I guess, so hmm :T)
For something simple, try adding (more of) a gradient to the mist/fog of the distant mountains, so whatever is closer (if perfectly even fogist density; probably the peaks from that angle) is darker and better defined. You could also break up said gradient a little for cloud edges. I'm not quite sure if the ♭ visible on the second mountainside is intended, but it does look odd.

Imagine a cool peice of sky-blue and milk-white marble about 3cm by 2cm and by 0.5cm, containing a tiny 2mm malacolite crystal. Now imagine the miles of metamorphic rock it's embedded in that no pick or chisel will ever touch. Then, imagine that those miles will melt back into their mantle long before any telescope even refracts an image of their planet. The watchers will be so excited to have that image too.

Doing some 'sprites' for each class in Aetolia.  They're intended to be displayed zoomed-in, so I'm not too worried about how good they look zoomed out.  I still have to go through and fix up the blending/detail on each one though, and I have another 12.5 to do.

Not sure if this goes better here of the crafters' guild. I figure here.

Anyhoo, I'm building a robot, and this is the first part, a perfectly ordinary tire.

Spoiler (click to show/hide)

Kinda dirty, should probably hose it down.

Jopax: Try filling in the the areas of color solidly first, and then shading over that. Right now there is a bit of a translucent effect and the flat areas seem to have unintentional texture that is causing it to look busy.

Japa: This is a better guild for purely digital work, unless the end result is a physical model of course. I look forward to seeing more progress :D

Lofn: These look good :) Although, if they are meant to be viewed at this magnification, the text could be made a bit more readable.

The hub looks thicker than necessary, and heavier than it has any right to be. Also there doesn't seem to be any way to change the tire.
