Doublepost bump with pic.

Another drawing:

Spoiler (click to show/hide)

I realise I fudged up the shading, because the shaft's and candle's light is coming from a different direction than the actual candlelight and the table. I made this up as I went, which is probs why it ended up like this. Another lesson learnt, I guess. I want to fix it, but I realised I don't know how to. Anyone know some good resources for shading?

Me too. Candles. In complete darkness. Good shading practice.

Been trying to draw sprites all day for a game I am making. Not easy task is not easy.

I tried to take heed to the kind suggestiions to improve myself and thus my next picture came out like this.

Constructive criticism is appreciated.

I think  you'd see more of the further back arm. since it's bent slightly upwards near the shoulder, it should be lower in the background, lower than the left arm.

Spoiler (click to show/hide)

I dug up your previous post here, and you're definitely making progress. The proportions are much closer to what they should be.

Anatomy remains the biggest issue. Her neck seems to be almost as thick as her torso, and actually wider than her head should be. Her hair grows like a mane, completely covering the back of her neck. Unless you are drawing some kind of werewolf, hair's pretty much confined to the top and back of the head. Not the neck and not the ears. There's too much lower jaw between her lips and the tip of her chin. The eye seems to be pictured from the front in a profile, like something painted by an Egyptian priest. The breasts are too high. The midsection looks mainly like a cylinder of dough, needs more shape, should probably be a bit thinner. The foreground arm doesn't look like it actually connects to the shoulder. Even when an arm is completely straight, the elbow should still be visible. The right leg is longer than the left leg, and both legs seem to be built mostly of weird lumps. The skirt should have some depth to it to provide the viewer with a clear reference as to which leg is which. Hands and feet are some kind of claws, so I can't say much about them.

Okay, that's quite a block of text, especially since it's essentially a list. I can clarify as needed. But yeah, this is a huge improvement over the last one. You seem to mostly have a hang of the rough shape a human body should be, and it's possible to pick out individual mistakes.

Ouch.

But honestly, I really appreciate it. It is hard to see the wrong stuff within ones own art. (For me at least.)
I`ll make sure to improve even further.

Havent had time to draw for a while due to uni projects, and nothing is better than a generic orc to get back to business.

I'd like to make a suggestion for a drawing:

Great use of color to create the textures. That said, I think the tonal range needs some expansion to round out the forms.
