Finished.

Errors that I can see:

Facial structure is shit, the cheeks are not rendered properly as a mass around the bones

Brow should be further back in space

Light sources are confused, shadows are treated as if it's a sole strong light from above, but it isn't.

Yellow side is overblown, blue side doesn't cast on eye sockets properly. The eye shadows are too black.

Retarded colour balance for a poster, hair is distracting, no negative space. Not enough orange.

Text is cramped. Letters aren't capitalized properly.

Fonts are too mixed. Colours are strange, red doesn't stand out as much as just look out of place.

Ok this is just a work in progress and nothing special because of the obvious inspiration. I'm just trying to familiarize myself with this old program.

I'm not being critical, I'd just like to know his reasons. :)

It was the first program I ever used on a PC, my dad let me fool around with it back in the old days. Then recently I saw that these beauties were created with that program, and this sent me into a nostalgiagasm. After that I decided to learn how to use it properly.

It is Deluxe Paint II, run under DOSBox.

While blundering about synaptic one day, I found GrafX2, apparently inspired by the likes of Deluxe Paint. Not quite as authentic, of course, but give it a shot if you feel like it.
