That's pretty incredible. I like the reflection on the eyes, particularly.

Maybe our grandmothers share common grandmother.

I was trying to figure that out too. The only association I can pin down though is Data, who isn't all that similar. Maybe it is something I did with the eyes.

i guess i'm right then, it has have that blank, lonely, slightly depressed look of a self portrait. we can all agree, tough, you did an awesome job there, you trully are a master.

Thank you! I don't feel like a master though. There were quite a few hiccups in the process. I saved the steps so maybe I can post them as animation or something. I had to do some reshaping/resizing of various bits and pieces halfway through and I feel like a lot of it lacks the finesse that I want.

A true master of this technique: Ignat Ignatov.

I'd love to, but I need to figure out how to use my imagination better. I can draw from life a bit but when it comes to making things up I can't even doodle. I think my brain is broken in that respect but I am trying to figure out how to fix it. I'm a bit of a nerd so I don't think I'll feel ready until I can make fantasy art like the best.

BTW even though this is digital I was painting from a mirror. I recommend anyone trying to to painting in PS or whatever use a mirror rather than an image, when possible.

Hate to be a party-pooper here, but the portrait looks like it's got a lazy eye.

Good otherwise.

Haha yeah. I think that is an artifact of shifting my eyes to look at each eye individually in the mirror. Seems to happen a lot...

He seems most like Q from TNG, maybe it's his unsettling blank stare(even more than Data's) or a certain air of mistery or something.Anyway to cut my ramblings short, something completley uninspired i doodled tonight. It seems i sucked my creative juices dry with the yesterday draw-a-thon
