It's a pretty good pic - lips could need some work though - and if it were coloured I'd probably be able to tell gender better.

Skin tone seems to be one of the major ways we tell gender from, and it can make all the difference to a neutral face. Males usually have more reds in them, and females have more greens.

Yes, yes.

And lips, definitely, I spent a very long time trying to capture the look of my lips, but ultimately failed, it will probably be better with colour. It IS a WIP after all.

They're actually pretty good. Miles better than my hands.

Not to mention that I don't really have a good reference, as my real hands are HUEG.

some of those hands are actually pretty good and they seem fairly quick drawings. good job

some of those hands are pretty good. I think the quicker gestural ones are the best actually. And what are you talking about, 'running out of room'. Did you run out of harddrive space or something?

And while this is kinda pushing if i should start a new thread, I figured i'll throw this here.


now that i look at it, there are some pixels off, but it's just a mockup at this point. I'll be going everything with an electron-scanning microscope later to make sure pixel dimensions are perfect.
