Spreggo: It's pencils (HB and B) and graphite (4B and 6B for the darkest parts) but i'll consider white chalk for higlights, because I feel like I'm lacking contrast in my pictures. I have to boost it up in photoshop, but that's also because I take photos of my work with a cheap digital camera which kinda ruins them. The other thing I find lacking is finesse. Most of my work ends up "dirty" or "foggy".
Practice is the most important thing in everything and I feel like I could do lots of awesome stuff, if I had perseverance, but I jump from one interest to another (programming, physics, music, art etc.), being Jack of all trades master of none, y'know.

That's pretty amazing, I can kinda tell you probably captured her likeness, without me even having seen her

Colours are awesome in general, thanks :)

Ok Spreggo, I'm freaking out about how I'm going to fix these things.

This picture makes me sad.
It makes me think of a world that's all that color. A boring world where color doesn't matter, but even worse, nothing does. No one cares, not for you or anyone else. You'd stick out like a sore thumb, a person who actually wanted to talk, or a person who actually wanted to do something. Yet seeing that faint hope of a smile on her face while you're walking around in this endlessly boring world makes it all the better.

Interesting observations.
And in the world of my drawings, everything is WTFSHITCOLOUR, and everybody is FUCKING ANGRY or FUCKING HAPPY.

Speaking of which, the nation of defected robots in my comic are all incredibly passionate and emotional; think nagging housewife meets devoted bipolar religious fanatic.

Which are you trying to fix Red?

Joss: I'm the same way - I bounce around from one obsession to another with the goal of 'sometime in the future' being awesome at all of them. But having seen this last one, I can tell you that if you put in a good obsessive effort and a few sketchbooks, you will be right up there.

All of them, even then, I just can never bring myself to change things that I have stopped working on.

It reminds me a bit of that guy from Spirited Away.
And looks a bit creepy.

Am I the only one to whom that mask looks happy more than creepy?

Like the man outside little Timmy's room masturbating while watching him play.

And I really hope this joke didn't go to far for this forum.

I don't see how that could be construed as a joke, or funny in any way.
