Unless you're making some point with the empty white space in the top one, I would suggest you crop it away. I really like those.

you gotta know how to draw stuff realistically before you can stylize it. That's like the basic rule of art - learn the rules before you break them.

Foreshortening is a bitch. Other than the long, narrow palm and the messed up middle finger it looks good.

I really like this, I just don't understand why it is washed out. It looks like you applied a lighting effect or something to it, but it doesn't look very good.

The clouds are round and the sun is green... And the sky gets brighter the further away it is from the sun?... Those are some major problems. The reflection of the light isn't fully saturated and at peak chroma... In layman's terms, it should be brighter, or should be pure yellow, or pure orange.

You've also done no brushwork with the sea or sky?

Hmm, there are many things, decent attempt though, with a mouse (am I correct?)

this is a fault on your part. i fail to see any effort on the drawing, next time lose more time with it, and try to get a reference. here's a nice start

if you're serious about getting good at this, try harder next time. your main problem is lack of effort, i think.

Also, judging by the cloud shadows, light is coming from directly above. Instead of, say, the sun.

Very true.

Shadows don't go under things... Lot's of people seem to make this mistake.
Shadows spread out in the direction of the light.

One also should not think shadow of adding something... More as NOT adding something.
